A discount license can be issued electronically by adding shops and submitting a discount license application stating the type of discount, the commercial registry through which the products are to be discounted, specifying the duration of the discount, specifying a list of products, and after paying the government fees, the license is issued, with the importance of placing it in a prominent place in the commercial store during the discount period.
The commercial register must be consistent with the agency’s activity and the contract must be certified by the Chamber of Commerce. If the company is foreign, the original contract must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – the Chamber of Commerce in the client’s country, if any – the Saudi Embassy in the client’s country – the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs – the Saudi Chamber of Commerce and after paying government fees. The product must be manufactured in the Kingdom under an industrial license for industrial project products, and the percentage of local inputs to the product must not be less than 40% of its basic components.
